Summer Fun!

What's a summer without a concert? Ash and I love going to concerts especially in the summer! We are lucky to live by so many venues that host a lot of great artists!
Ash was so cute and surprised me with American Idol tickets last Monday! He actually got them the morning of the concert and we were on the 10th row(I thought it was sold out)! It was awesome I could walk right up to the stage and take pictures...I totally felt like the biggest groupie and maybe I would have fit in a little better had I had a David Archuleta shirt on(no thanks)! They were all great but I'd have to say my top 2 favorites were David Cook and Michael Johns. I'd go to their concert any day of the week! They were amazing and such good entertainers!
And of course we couldn't pass up John Mayer and Colbie Calliat! Wow what a fun concert! I never knew John was so funny! He is amazing and so freakin good at the guitar its sick! He was awesome and I just loved it. Colbie was great too. Definitely a little more mellow and not really energetic. But she has an amazing voice and sounded awesome live! There really is nothing like going to a concert outside. Between the beautiful surroundings, the cool breeze, and great music you couldn't ask for anything better! Therefore we won't mention the weird people that live in Utah or the traffic that makes you want to swear!

Oh where oh where have the Caspers been?

Gosh... has it really been over a month since we've blogged? We have been really busy with work, Ash started school again, work, golf tournaments, trips to St. George, work, girls camp, and oh did i mention work?! I love my job and I love what I do but it definitely controls my life! So therefore I am apologizing hopefully for the final time and I swear from here on out no more MONTHLY highlights or updates! I'll shoot for WEEKLY post and we'll see what happens:) but here are the fun and exciting things we've done in the past few weeks...
Ash and I headed to St.George for Memorial Day weekend to spend some Q.T. with the fam. Much to our surprise and I mean huge surprise we pulled up to my parents newly remodeled back yard! It is beautiful and we still have no idea how they kept it a secret from us for 2 months!! I truly have the best family in the whole world! Love you all!

Then the very next weekend the 2 cutest little red headed twins came to visit! Yeah! I jumped in the car with Katie and the twins and we headed back to St.George to go see Grandma & Grandpa Rynearson(still weird to call them that). We had the best time! We did everything imaginable... swim, play at the park, swim, fed the ducks, fed dora the turtle next door, swim some more, eat, shop, watch Wiggles, and of course swim some more! They love the water and would jump right in if you let them.

I honestly have never met 2 smarter beautiful little girls! They truly are amazing and since Katie never brags about them I will! Maddie and Bella will be 2 in a couple weeks and we can't believe it! They are getting big so fast. They speak in full sentences, can count to at least 20, can sing the alphabet and tell you what the sound is for every letter, they know all they're shapes and colors, they dance and can show you their perfect technique, they sing all kinds of songs word for word and do the actions if there is some, they can tell you who is on the top of the temple and who all the prophets are starting at Joseph Smith! Like I said they are truly amazing and my list could go on and on! Thanks alot Scott and Katie now our kids have no chance! Thus the reason we haven't had any yet! The weekend was a blast and we of course miss you guys already! We love you and hope to see you soon!

The next weekend yes that makes 3 weekends in a row we went back down to St. George but this time we did a little swap. Ash dropped me off and picked up my dad and brother Matt. The boys headed down for an incredible weekend at the U.S. Open in San Diego! Of course there are no pictures because boys don't think of that and of course the one tournament that I decide to be so generous and give my ticket to my brother is the one that Tiger wins! oh well maybe next time. I had a ball playing with my mom and sisters and enjoying are girls weekend!

Last but not least Ashton had the opportunity to caddy for his dad and grandpa as they played in the Champions Challenge at Thanksgiving point. For those of you who are like me and don't know much about golf this is Johnny Miller's tournament and it is a pretty big deal. Lots of great golfers Jack Nickalus, Annika Sorenstan, Mike Reid, Dean Wilson just to name a few. Team Casper (Bob & Billy) played awesome and finished in 4th place! To top things off we got to meet Deron Williams who also played in the event(Ashton made me put that). Must have been his favorite part!

All in all we are doing great and just living day to day! We are looking forward to going to Island Park for the 4th with Ashton's family. Then hopefully it will calm down around here a little bit! Knock on wood!

Lets Play Catch up!

Wow where did the month of April go? Ashton and I have been so busy since we got back from the masters which was my last post... sad! We have either gone somewhere or had people come to us. Its been so much fun and I kind of hate to see it all end ! You mean I actually have to go to work and get back to reality BORING! Anyway lets play catch up...

Ashton's sister Lauren got home from her mission on April 22nd! She served in Paraguay and was an incredible missionary. She is so cute and we're so glad to have her back!(if any of you have a cute boy to set her up with let me know!)
My little brother Matt plays baseball for Dixie State and they were playing UVU so the family of course came up to watch. They unfortunately won 1 lost 3 but Matt played AWESOME! He hit 2 home runs back to back! How sweet is that.

The same day as Matt's games was my birthday! Yep the big 25! YIKES I'm freakin old! It was fun to just watch Matt and have a relaxing birthday. Ashton and my family had UVU put "happy birthday Lacey" across the huge score board during the game for all to see...how thoughtful! We of course did dinner and presents with the fam that night.

Last but not least we headed to San Diego last weekend for I bet you can all guess.... how did ya know? Yep a golf tournament. We went to help out with Ashton's grandpa's annual charity golf tournament at the San Diego Country Club. We went down a couple days prior to the event to hang with Lauren & Ben and Ash's family. We did Sea world one day with the family and beach the next day with the girls (a.k.a laur, her mom, and sis Lindsey) because the boys (a.k.a Ash, Ben, Ashton's dad Bob, and Ben's dad in law Kim) had to get in a practice round before the tournament. Needless to say Sea World was fun and pretty amazing(I haven't been since I was like 5) I enjoyed it! The Beach Club in La Jolla was incredible! Give me a beach, the sun, a lounge chair, and Laur any day and I'm a happy girl! Thanks Stimpson-Oviatts!

I guess that leads to the tournament. This was my first year going since Ash and I have been married because it usually falls on my birthday so I let Ash go then I head to St. George, but this year I was able to attend. It is quite an event. All the girls help volunteer with registration and pretty much anything and everything that goes on that day. Lots of work but lots of fun! Ashton's team ended up tied for first and winning some fun prizes. It was an awesome event that raises well over $75,000 for Kids Charities! It was a great weekend and its sad to come home but my own bed is calling my name!

Augusta, Georgia

Imagine the most beautiful, peaceful, luscious, green, azalea covered golf course you could ever imagine and that is Augusta National Golf Course. That is exactly where Ashton and I just spent a week watching all the amazing golfers at the Masters! We were so lucky to be able to go again this year and be a part of this amazing event. As many of you know Ashton’s grandpa was a very successful golfer and actually won the Masters back in 1970. So as long as he is still alive he gets to bring his family along to experience this event that means so much to him and one that truly made him a legend! Despite my luggage being lost for the first 2 days and having to wear the same purple sweat outfit for those 2 days (embarrassing!) we had a blast and I couldn’t have asked for better! Well maybe I could’ve… I really wanted Tiger to win but oh well hopefully next year! We had an incredible week, met a lot of V.I.P.’s in the golf industry(which was great since that is what Ash is going to do when he graduates), watched some amazing golf, and best of all Ashton’s cousin Ashley and I just happened to be standing outside the breakfast tent waiting for Ashton to come out and to our surprise there was Tiger walking toward us so of course we couldn’t help but stare…. hello he was only like 2 feet from us and what do ya know he totally looked at us and gave us a smile!!!! Let’s just say we were on cloud 9 for the rest of the week because “Tiger checked us out”!! We had an amazing time one that we’ll cherish and never forget!

Happy Birthday Ash!

Happy 24th Birthday Ash! Well sort of it was on saturday but I still wanted to tell everyone! We had a fun day went to dinner at Sundance and just did a little shopping. Sunday we did dinner, cake, and presents with his family. It was pretty low key but none the less a wonderful couple days! I know Katie just did this for Scott but I thought it was cute so I thought I'd give it a try.

A-S-H-T-O-N

A- is for AMAZING. amazing husband, brother, son, golfer...the list could go on and on!

S- is for SWEET and SELFLESS. I don't think that there is a mean bone in his body! he is always thinking of others especially me! he would do anything for anyone. there is no one sweeter than him!

H- is for HANDSOME(could also be for HOTT!). of course i think he's incredibly good looking! I better! he has the most beautiful blue eyes and most contagious smile ever! I could just stare at him all day!

T- is for TIDY.(he's going to love this one!) he has learned, against his own will, to be clean and tidy. there is a place for everything and if not throw it away! hard for him to learn but has done really well.

O- is for OPTIMISTIC. he is always thinking on the postive side. never a bad thought never a negative word. i think his favorite thing to say to me is "take deep breaths, everything will work out." and usually it does!

N- is for NUZZLE. also known as cuddler. I've never known someone who likes to cuddle every chance he can! I'm not complaining...I love it! he's good at it and for some reason can always talk me in to cuddling for "just a sec" no matter what I'm doing!

Well there you have it. My Ash in a nutshell. I love you so much babe and i hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Rascal Flatts Baby!

Last night Ash and I went to the best concert ever! Rascal Flatts was in town and of course we had to be there! They were amazing as was their opener Kellie Pickler. I know shock huh? She actually sounded really good and of course she was really entertaining! I think she is darling. But of course nothing could beat Rascal. We've seen them before but this time was above and beyond. They are so talented and so much fun to watch! I could go on forever but I won't so if you ever get the chance to see them go.... they're awesome!

Sweet Sixteen…

Well it might be a little too late to do a shout out but I want to anyway! It was Gentry’s 16th birthday on Feb. 29th. Can you freakin believe it… my little sister is 16 and can now drive and date ahhh! She actually got to go to junior prom the day after her birthday so of course Ash and I went down so I could do her hair for the dance. She looked amazing and pretty much put all the other girls to shame! Gentry you’re so beautiful and Ash and I love you so much! Thanks for being such a great sister, friend, example, and the list could go on and on. Love ya Girl!

Best Friends

Yay for fun weekends… especially when spent with your best friends! We had such a great weekend spent with Ben and Lauren. Although, we always have the best time with them. The boys at the last minute ended up going to the Jazz game so Lauren and I ended up going to the movie Step Up. The movie was so good. It just reminded us of the good ol’ clubbing days and how we wish we were better dancers! We topped of the night with a yummy dinner at CPK.

Ashton and I (especially me) just couldn’t be more thankful for wonderful friends. We are so lucky to still have Ben and Lauren around. (sorry to everyone else I love you all too, you all just live far away!) You know you have a best friend when you don’t care what you’re doing as long as you’re together!

I think that that is how it is for Lauren and me.
Lauren and I became friends almost six years ago.(can you believe that Laur) We have so many fun memories and even though we live totally different lives now when we see each other its like we never left!I love it! I just love you so much Laur and I couldn’t thank you enough for being such a wonderful friend! I never ever want you to move! You go I go! Cheers to Best Friends!

Yeah for movies! As most of you all know I hate going to the movies! I hate that for some reason i always end up sitting by some annoying person who laughs really loud, cries out of control, won't shut up, smells really bad, steals my arm rest, the list could go on and on... but for some strange reason lately I've been in movie mode! Ashton is loving life because its his all time favorite thing to do except golf of course. We've seen 4 movies in like a week and half, I think that is an all time record for me! Anyway just thought i'd give you my opinion on what I saw in case you were wondering about seeing one of these movies.
Bucket List- Loved it, pretty funny, a good one to see with your parents
27 Dresses- LOVED IT! James Marsden-love him(so HOTT), definitely a chick flick, cute but cheesy story, totally see it again!(Laur-I thought of you the whole time.always helping everyone else never yourself...Love You!)
Juno- Liked it, pretty crude(ash laughed his butt off), funny, very cute story, love the outcome.
Mad Money-Just OK, didn't laugh for the first hour(maybe I was laughing I just couldn't hear myself over the weird girl sitting next to me), love the actors in it, like I said just OK.

If any of you have any free time, I recomend that you go see a couple of these movies. We liked them, and I am sure you will too!

After many complaints, we have finally resorted to creating a blog! I guess we will just have to see how long it lasts. If anyone needs a part time job, I will pay you to keep my blog going for me! (I am terrible when it comes to computers!)

Since it has been forever, we would like to start by sharing with you the highlights of our 2007...

In early 2007, Ash and I both celebrated our birthdays. Ashton turned 23 in March, and I turned 24 in April.

In early April it was off to Ashton's favorite place in the world, Augusta, Georgia to watch the Masters golf tournament!

In June, McCall and I went out to Kirksville to visit Scott, Katie, and the twins! We had a blast! They are the cutest babies ever!

In July, my amazing brother Matt got home from his mission in the Philippines! He is now playing baseball at Dixie State in St. George.

In late November we went to SUNNY and HOT Orlando with Ashton's fam for the Fathers and Sons, a golf tournament that his dad and grandpa play in every year. We couldn't pass up the chance to hit up Disney World either! Can't beat 90 degree weather in November!

To top off the year, we had a fabulous Christmas is St. George. Nothing better than going home for the holidays!

As you can see, we had an incredible 2007. Now we are looking forward to an even better 2008! If you are lucky you will get weekly updates instead of yearly. Love ya!
